Giorgos Scoumbourdis (better known as "Takis")has been in the restaurant business for well over 50 years and started Restaurant Ampavris in 1989 together with his lovely wife Stergia.

 Ampavris is a delightful family run business situated in the area of the same name on the outskirts of Kos town. The establishment is located on a small street near the museum Casa Romana and is the ideal place to taste traditional Greek food when visiting Kos island.

The building, erected just over a century ago, was once used as a farmhouse. Our restaurant offers a wide variety of tasty delicacies, created with only the freshest ingredients, which are sourced daily from local farmers. Having provided a high standard of service for so many years, the restaurant is a favorite of both locals and visitors of the island.
